Hi Guys, Just a quick one. I am thinking of running a contest on my Xbox 360 Repair site for affiliates and was going to just go ahead and think up some prizes - but I thought I would ask here: "What would get you excited as an affiliate?" Of course the commissions you earn are the main thing, but is there anything that would really get you going to try and win a contest. Cash? Coaching? Gifts? Let me know what you think and I will try and sort something out... All the best Chris
For me, The product should be easy to promote & publisher should seem "Trustable" not a cheater, Lier or scam artist. When I see a product, i have to check to see whether there is any better looking product in the same niche Gifts/coaching/bonuses really don't matter for me, as i'm targeting only 1-2 sales a day for a product. Articles to rewrite / Vids do help. There r a few other little things as well..
For prizes? Cash is nice. Like jacky mentioned if it's a good product I don't need anything to promote it, just it being the best product available is enough for me personally. So much garbage out there. A really good affiliate section (with landing pages, squeezes and articles) always goes over well with the affiliate marketer crowd. Make it as easy as you can for us and we'll return the favor?
Hey Guys, Thanks for your insight. I mean I have all the things you mention on my site and it has been converting well for 3 years so tick all the boxes there. I think I have everything covered anyway lol. Just looking for more suggestions on prizes, I mean if it is a case that it does not mean anything to most affiliates fair enough, but I personally - having checked all the things you mention would not mind a prize to go for I mean it is a bonus right? Let me know your sugestions if any? All the best Chris
Like the others said. If the product is quality, and it converts, then I'm a happy camper. I'm not interested in prizes. After all, if the product makes me money, I can buy my own prizes. On the other hand, prizes are sure to motivate some people . . . Congrats on having a product that's been converting well for 3 years. It's not easy to create a product with longevity.
Coaching. Chris -I send you a PM couple of days back asking for keywords but you didnt reply, anyway thanks
Hey no problem I can send you keywords. On most of the aff pages there is keywords on the page. Let me know what keywords you need and I can help - sorry if I don't answer straight away, I try my best Let me know how I can help? Chris
how about not that classic CB landing page that screams: hey stay away from me? With a decent layout and not those hideous titles, fake screenshots, magic cures to cancer and so on? is that hard or I miss the good landing pages on CB? yeah, you will all say to me: hey we use these awful long landing pages because they convert, because some guy said that somewhere..yeah right just checked your website and the first thing I see is that I am entitled to receive a full refund if I don't fix my Xbox in 37 minutes...
Not because some guy said so, but because that's what is proven to work time and time again Though you're right - 95% or more of the CB landers are bunk and junk. The length is one thing, but the layout/content/copy/branding/etc. is what my beef usually is. Hate to disagree with you but those nasty ugly long sites make millions. As do normal brands, quick catalogs, no scroll sites, flash sites, etc. however for these markets, and niches, and specific 'sales/conversions' types of programs, I'll be the first to say it's hard to convert your thinking, but you must.
and yet you use totally different kind of landing pages from what I've seen maybe they make millions but the conversion rate is very low for affiliates compared to other networks because they don't inspire trust, are full of lies and BS . anyway I don't want to start a rant about this, is just that I would like to see more landing pages like the WorkStationOptimizer for example simple, short and with fewer crappy headings that scare people off just my opinion of course..
Generally for affiliates Cash is King! So I think you cannot go wrong with a generous commission structure for your affiliate product especially with it converting so well for such a period.
Vendors that offer prizes like Ipods, Gaming systems, electronic goods always make me think twice about promoting them as it's far easier explaining to the Mrs that I won a prize as opposed to me trying to convince her that I really need to buy that Ipod touch!
LOL this made me laugh! I can relate to that mate! Something to bear in mind when I am picking the prizes! Chris
A transparent journal on how to promote a product will attract tons of more affiliates compare to gifts and cash. Journal should consist of traffic stats, landing pages, conversion stats, useful stuff and the goal. Goal can be any thing like "$1000 a month by promoting one product". Probably by article marketing, bum marketing or PPC. This will actually inspire establish affiliates to try new niche and for newbies it will be a heaven.
Software products are way different than an ebook stuff. We can give evaluation copy to visitor to check if software works for him or not. So most landing pages of softwares are short, but thing changes when it comes to ebooks. Basically, selling an ebook is a tough task because on internet there are tons of information available on a particular topics for free. So selling an ebook needs some thing extra. A sales copy should actually engage a reader and win his trust, and which we can not achieve by a short sales copy.
