re-target ads on big site

I run a fairly large tv-related site (averages 100,000 pageviews per day).

the adsense ads average about 1.5% CTR, but only $0.07 per click. I was thinking that if we could get more movie type ads instead we'd get higher click through and EPC.

should I add movie type keywords to the site or put the adsense code in an iframe with movie info or is this a bad idea all together? how do I target the ads to get better EPC?

don't putin a iframe, it's specifically forbidden, but yes at any rates put more movies related keywords in your pages. without being spammy it's easy to add useless sentences which contains movies related keywords!

And 1.5CTR is really low, you sure can increase it but maybe you don't want, you're not ready to do what it takes because user friendliness BLABLABLA

    1) I get most of my traffic from google SERP's, so I had optimized for many high-traffic and less competitive phrases. will adding more competitive keywords to the site be the only answer to increasing EPC?

    2) do you know of any tool to help find which key phrases in my industry are most competitive?

    3) aren't there HTML tags you can use to help adsense target more towards your keywords?

It really wouldn't matter, itcdr. Movie/entertainment ads are always low-paying. .07-cent per click isn't actually bad. With your large PVs, you should monetize the site using CPM banners.
