Well I did, Webmin recommended a upgrade from inetd to Extended Internet Services xinetd which I did, everything ran fine at first but a little while later (a few hours) I could no longer access my server. i submitted a ticket and within minutes i had a response.... But as my grandmother used to say "you catch more flies with honey" I personally HIGHLY recommend them. Even if the staff is as small as some people claim then their service is just that much BETTER to be so prompt and curteous while dealing with so many clients, all in all just keep in mind what you are paying for, basically a new computer that is yours to deal with. Any else you get is soley at their discretion, and at their low prices you should be thakful for any customer service.
Sorry it was so long winded but i wanted to make a point that sometimes people forget the good they get...... and at the moment they are working with me over ICQ I am in recovery mode and they are walking me through it...... once again something they don't have to do on an unmanaged system, Webmin's xinetd install overwrote all tthe inetd config it seems so i am trying to rebuild it without data loss...... fortunayly they are very patien with my stupid newbie questions LOL
You just registered here and this "happened" to be your first post? You dont "happen" to work at that company or they didnt "happen" to hire you? You write a 100 A4 pages just to explain how good they are, you did ALL this "just" to say how good your "new" host was? Well believe me, no matter what you say or do here at DP, no one will believe you if your first post is to ADVERTISE a company.. If a reputable member (even not me) does what you did the MAYBE.. This just looks like a bad way to cover up all the bad critics they have on this forum and all over the web.. But I hope your hosting goes well..
well i registered quite sometime ago, and i didn't post any affiliate links....... notice the join date was sept at the top left, and I have as shameful as this is 1 other post which WAS advertising, where i put my affiliate link. this is just a give credit where credit is due. this was the best way i could think of to say thank you to them, especially after the poor service i received from my previous host. they have been working all day to help me when they don't have to. So take it or leave it, I don't make any money off this I just don't want to see some get an entirely bad wrap when they have solid good points that I have seen for myself.
well I want to believe you but it doesnt look good, if you now really did what you say you did, it doesnt look good.. Not here in Dp or in any webmaster forum where spamming is common and fake advertisements are popping up every day.
I understand, that is why i posted logs i am not looking to argue or post it as an advert, and i completely see your point. the thing is people are so quick to post how horrible something is that when they see a good post they assume it is crap, i am a newbie to linux and my only other real experience was Godaddy shared hosting then to their grid hosting and got nothing but hassle. They were helpful. What would you recommend for a thnk you? A greeting card? if you did right by someone wouldn't it make you feel better to know someone talked about it instead of just that one time you got drunk and....... (not saying that happened just making a point) so i figured this was better than a hallmark lol
