Re-opening a paypal account?

Recently my paypal account was hacked. The hacker changed passwords, security answers, and then sent himself all my money from my account. He then closed the account after the payment was in his account. I rang paypal who refunded the payment the next day. Only problem is that they haven't opened my account, and I have no idea if they will or not. I have emailed them to tell them it is closed, and am waiting for a reply, I also told them this when I rang them and they said they knew it had being closed.
My question is, will they re-open my account for me, and let me get access to my money again?
Has anyone had an experience like this?

    Thanks

I would ring them again - they can be a bit slow sometimes a need a few nudges.

You said they had refunded the money that was taken without your permission - which means they have acknowledged it was hacked. So I can't see any reason why they wouldn't re-open it. Or open an new one and get them to transfer the funds over.

Personally I would sit tight for a bit. They might be doing some tests/looking at your logs to see whom hacked into your account.

Give them about a business week (It is paypal hehe) then start nudging them.
