Years ago when we started we name our products types by the speed. now that we have increased speeds we want to re-name those products and make sure everyone stays in them etc. Anyone know how to do this? It mentions this in the manual however it really doesn't tell you what it does etc. I backed everything up and renamed it and it seemed to take but none of the customers stayed in that account type/product. If you want to change existing customer's billing cycle items, you can use the "Mass Billing Cycle Change" under Maintenance & Preferences.
is there a time period this should be done? My fear here is that it pro-rates everyone even though the account price is the same and charges every an extra PENNY and we get 350 phone calls from unhappy customers. IF the billing cycle is prorated to the first would there be a preferred day to do this so that no proration occurs or is there some other method to avoid any type of proration etc? Tim D
I should also note that there is no change in the price of the account with the change. they have an account that is 49.95 and are being transferred into an account that is 49.95. Tim
