Hi. I am new to internet marketing. I have a website www.hesmadaboutyou.com and I have subscribed to AdSense and Adwords. But I don't know how to use Adwords because I don't understand the concept of keyword searches. Can someone explain to me what keywords are and how to use them? My site is dedicated to Relationship and Dating Advice. Am I supposed to look for words that are "competitive"? If so, what does that mean? All feedback welcome.

Hi! I suggest that you choose less competitive keywords so that your bid or the cost of the keywords are not too high.

Keywords are the search terms that people type into google.
'Competitive' keywords are ones that are a lot of people are bidding on (and/or targeting in their SEO).
the balance you need to strike is between keywords that are popular - but competitive -which means a lot of people do searches for that, but likewise a lot of advertisers are bidding for them - and keywords that are not searched for so much (typically long-tails - phrases of 2 or more words) but don't have so much competition.
