    Hey Guys,

Reading through DP in the Clickbank section it does not matter how many times a question is answered or how many times a technique to make money is revealed the same issues come up:

“How to make money with Clickbank?”

    “Is Clickbank A Con?”

And of course the old chestnut:

    “Clickbank is Broken!”

Well I have decided to help out and give you a real way that you can get your first few sales and then expand.

Now the number one issues I think with newbie’s is “Wait, if I do all this work and I don’t make sales what then?”

Well that is business, risk and your attitude to it is EVERYTHING!

However today I am going to take some of the risk away and give you a step by step look into what I am doing to promote products.

I will use a product that is converting well and that I know will make you money if promoted correctly.

This is the actual process that I am using right now to promote this product!

Before we begin I want to touch on what this thread is NOT:

It is not a step by step plan that is foolproof to make you money.

It is not a journal without any rewarding information (at least I hope you don’t think so!).

It is not the ONLY way you can make money with Clickbank.

    What the thread IS:

It is an insight into how I am promoting a product.

It is a “stepping stone” for people new to Clickbank to follow along and pick some real nuggets out that will make you money.

    It really works!

OK so that said this is how I am going to work it:

I will be promoting the YLOD Repair Wizard – it is converting nicely and affiliates are making a sale every 1 in 30 hops or so some much quicker than that.

It is a perfect “starter” product to promote for a new affiliate because it is in a mid range niche and there is a real problem there with a NEED to fix it!

I will come back daily and let you know what I am doing to promote the site using only FREE methods – you name it articles, seo, social bookmarking, YouTube.

The cool thing is that you will be able to see what I am doing and how I am doing it and you never know if you follow along you may get some sales!

Now I know there have been plenty of threads like this before but I want to make this one different and for that I need your help.

Please ask questions as you see fit but do not hijack the thread keep it on topic and hopefully overtime this thread will become a resource for new Clickbankers to visit and have everything they need to make their first sale for free!

That is all for now – wish me luck and I will update later with what I have been doing and give you an insight into how to REALLY promote a product...

Chris, you are forever helping people out.

Much respect to you for having the time and patience to deal with noobs in that manner. Not many people here on DP care to help anyone.

For you guys out there who are struggling to make sales, FOLLOW THIS. Chris knows his stuff and I'd bet that if you follow this and take action on the information that he provides you could easily increase your Clickbank earnings in a week or two. Maybe even less.

    Cheers man :)

    I'm flattered truly!

Thanks for your kind words mate!

OK, so the first thing I have done is targeted a keyword or rather keyphrase "how to fix ps3 red flashing light" and here is a few pointers for any article that you are trying to rank.

What I have done is actually posted an article at the YLOD blog as well as on articlesbase and yes that means writing 2 articles for one keyword and one listing normally unless you are lucky enough to get them both ranked.

However how many articles have you written that have not been ranked?

The way I am going to do this is by giving you pointers so you can do the most important thing and take action.

You can come back here and ask any questions and I will help.

The main thing to remember is that there are no right or wrong ways to do anything just get out there and start writing.

For instance if you don't bother with keyword research, picked a product from CB and wrote 500 articles and submitted to CB on the subject and then you had someone that did 1 really well thought out, keyword optimized article who do you think gets more commissions?

It is not as black and white as that you cannot just submit junk but I am sure if you follow through this try your best and submit average articles you will improve and earn some money on the way too!

So I will keep you updated on the progress of that keyword and also any sales that arise from it!

Less on for today - Start writing and remember to make the most of your article, rewrite and post to your blog, social bookmark it for backlinks etc...

Any questions on this let me know?

    Chris

Ok, so quick update over the past few days I am still gunning for the keyphrase "how to fix ps3 red light" and we are getting there.

Sometimes you need to do loads more work on the backlinks of your articles to get them to rank properly.

Traffic is starting to go up and will of course keep you posted on progress.

Tomorrow i am going to make a blog up and link to some youtube videos as well.

In fact youtube works very well in this niche as it is a video product as well and people would prefer to be shown how to fix their PS3, as well as that I can target a lot of long tail phrases this way.

If you have any questions give me a shout.

    Hey Mentis
Tried to download yr free e-book but I got to fill out a survey first ... is that correct ? And the 'mean'thing about filling out the survey is that you have to pay to get some kind of sms services ( 2 ,- eur per sms) I live in Europe... so it is not a free download anymore as far as I am concerned !

OK, got an update first sale in since launching this thread through my own promotions and you can recreate it with ease.

I got the sale from an artcielbase article that I have written and once another backlinks were in there - BOOM!

    Ranking on page #1!

The phrase is PS3 red light fix so that is quite a good one to target.

Going to be throwing more vids up on the affiliate page of YLOD Repair Wizard so you can use them if you need a bit of extra $$$'s this weekend -well worth ranking for ;)

Will keep you posted on the sale I got $30.45 for it which is not bad at all!

Any help needed just shoot me a PM.

first page is impressive considering how new your product is! Did you need a lot of backlinks to get on the first page? Were most of your backlinks just from other articles or did they come from blogs and stuff as well?

Congrats on the sale but I don't see you at #1 for that phrase in Google unless I typed it wrong. Anyway looking forward to following this thread.

I am seeing Ezine article tittles "How to Fix PS3 Blinking Red Light Problem?" on first page. ( I checked with Market Samurai). Whats the tittle of your article?

You should also submit the article to Ezine and add some backlinks, the article i listed above just got 3 backlinks.

Cheers for your kind words mate :)

I'm glad I could help you!

It is actually an article on the first page, but yes the aim to get the site there too!

Thanks, if you have any questions or need any help let me know?

Yep, you are right be building a ton of backlinks to the article that was ranking but it has fallen again :(

Is cool though - I know it happens and just need to build the backlinks back - will do what you said I think and use Ezine as well.

UPDATE That article so far has bought me in $90 odd (3 sales)

So it really is not that bad - the keyword targeted was "how to stop red light flashing on ps3" so you know what you do if you want easy money ;)

Going to set up some more tools for affiliates like landing pages, videos etc...

Posted in a few forums today so will let you know how that goes.

There are also one or two affiliates doing VERY well with this so if you want to jump on board check it out:

    http://www.ylodrepairwizard.com/affiliates.html

Will keep you guys posted but this looks like a winner - conversions are now between 1 in 15 to 1 in 50 at most on choice keywords.

Just to be clear...the product you are promoting is not just a random product, is actually your product?

Yes, that is correct the product is mine, just documenting everything as I go so newbies can gee how to make $$$'s :)

OK I have done the first set of youtube videos you can download them from the affiliate page:

    http://www.ylodrepairwizard.com/affiliates.html

More affiliates are starting to join and the best converters are the ones that are using the review site.

Got 2 new affiliates this week converting :)

Also my progress has been quite good now up to 7 sales that I have made myself - all pretty much from that phrase "ps3 red light fix" or "how to fix ps3 red blinking lights" so that is a golden one!

Still building backlinks and still going - also the site is starting to get more popular so is rising up!

Jump on board this product and if you need help or have questions let me know - I will help you make your first few sales.

Still chugging along with this and there are more affs jumping on board converting nicely.

A couple of you have asked for conversions - so I am posting some last weeks conversions:

Still focusing on that main keyword it seems to be working well.

If you write up 10 articles on that keyword and link them all together it makes you some quick cash!

Anyway guys will keep you posted on progress and any help needed let me know?

Still going with this one and I would say there are 5 affiliates that are making a killing with this product!

Through my own promotions I have managed to get ps3 red light fix and keep going up and then slipping back down but while I am there it is good!

Also noticed an aff using the landing page from the affiliate page and has done a very good job at writing the sales copy - they are getting a conversion rate of 1 in 15 normally and sometimes better than that!

A couple of you have asked me what the best keywords to target are and it seems to be "ps3 red light fix", "ps3 ylod fix", stuff like that and then you can make them long tail for article marketing just stick a "how to" before the keyphrase.

Again here is the affiliate tools - I have put those youtube videos on there that you are welcome to use:

    http://www.ylodrepairwizard.com/affiliates.html

Again if you want a helping hand, reach out and I will help you get started.

    Hey Chris,

Can you put some more details about your promoting? Where you post your articles to? Do you use backlink wheels for building the links or just randomly doing it? Do you try to rank your articles or your landing page or both? How many views your articles have? What's the CTR? etc.

    Thanks for helping US out.
    You're the best

    Hey,

Yes I have been trying to rank for "Ps3 red lights fix" and the way I have been doing this is mainly through article base and then like you say adding backlinks - I have also put a wordpress blog on the main site and linked articles back from there.

So what I would do is put a new article on the blog - rewrite it and then submit to both Ezine articles and Articles base.

So I am having to write 3 articles for 1 keyword if you see what I mean.

Then I am social bookmarking all of them and building up more backlinks as I go.

I am also interconnecting all the pages on my blog with anchor text as well.

The result is a first page position so is working well and getting a fair amount of sales now!

To be honest I am not sure how many views the articles have or the CTR - I just know that I am getting sales from them as it is tracked as such.

Will keep writing more and keep you updated.

    Chris
