Re-designing homepage....NEED IDEAS!

I am currently in the process of switching the website over to wordpress. I will have cleaner navigation and make sure the pages are organized better. I know what I want to do with all of the subpages and they are being fixed as we speak.

The one thing I can't figure out is how to organize the homepage. I really like the large football player overtaking the screen, but at the same time it makes the homepage feel like a piece of it is missing and it just doesn't flow well.

Ideas? How should I lay out the home page?

    Everything is huge.
Also you can change your logo to more professional one.
Overall site looks very good and not similar to others!

I would essentially make your /products page your home page - that page looks great, and it flows very well.
Until you get more products, why not just have that the main page?

Wow thanks for all the feedback. I think my website has some browser compatibility issues because it really isnt that big on my computer, but i've seen it load incorrectly on other computers.

As far as the current layout, I really like how the logo is extra large and looks like its popping out and over the top menu. I also like the background color, and the top menu. Everything under the top menu needs to be edited though. Not sure how I want to arrange everything....

As far as the products page, it is getting edited a bit. I am also changing the navigation of the site around a bit. I have all of that worked out in my head already...but back to the homepage-- any ideas on how to arrange the content BELOW the topmenu? Pictures to go along with your ideas would help too, if you want...

    Looks nice. Colors fits ets.
As mentioned, everything is a little bit too big. (the logo should be like 1/5 of that size).
Also, why do you have a different background for the product page?

We were experimenting with a different background color, but that will be changed back to red. You don't think it looks cool that the logo is oversized?

Is it possible that you are having some browser compatibility problems? The website has been prone to that. The logo is just covering a small portion of the top-menu, and not actually covering any content, correct?

I will work on the About page. Once again, I have the inner pages under control and they are being worked on. My question remains-- how should I lay out the information on the homepage BELOW the top menu?
