Re-Designing Freeware - Possible?

    Hey guys!

    I have this piece of software that is titled freeware and I would like to re-distribute this to my clients.

    My question is;

    Is it possible to re-design a packaged executable file (i.e. background, icons, pictures)?

    If the license is gpl then you can. If the license is not GPL then you have a problem. :)

    If you don't own the development/ distribution rights to the software you can't modify the package and redistribute even if it is freeware - someone else will own the copyright. To do the kind of thing you are talking about, and replace bitmaps and so on, you need what is called a "resource editor".
