I thought I'd post this up for some reviews It's a re-design of a homemade pizza recipe I have. I've added poll and a reader suggestion submit page, as well a new banner, layout. here it is http://www.homemadepizza.co.uk Constructive criticism and ideas to increase affiliate revenue welcome. White space to the side is for adsense, banner ads, or hopefully sponsorship. Thanks
Its okay buddy... All the development, pictures and designing are seems to be good not bad.. But U loose some attractive in ur site... I think it ll overcome if u make some changes in font type... Try to differentiate fonts from ur site content, menus and headings. Instead of using ARIAL try VERDANA or some thing like..
This is a nice site, and looks very 'homely' and friendly, which seems to be the approach you're going for. Maybe make a better search function for past recipes
the poll works for me i just voted pepperoni! i agree it has a slight domain parked feeling going on with it, try to revamp the menus a little
First of all. Only cool people eat pizzas with pineapple on them. The rest of you guys are LAME! Ok, so the voting and everything else definitely works. Since you are monetizing with amazon you should definitely be capturing emails. Anytime someone needs to buy a product for you to make money you need to be building a list. If it is purely adsense or filling out offers then not necessarily but amazon? Definitely. Good luck. P.S. Shoot me a PM if you'd like me to refer you to a free opt-in service with full tracking.
Cool site, i have to say that coz I love pizza! do you deliver? I would lake a large spicy please? have you throught about linking in to some of the big pizza companies?
I like the design, perhaps making some words a bit bolder to shock, attract and hold the audience could work.
I would eliminate the page top-margin, no need as most browsers default to 10px. Setting it to 0px would be good. Consider shrinking the header - the menu bar and top graphic take up nearly half of my 1024x768 screen. Move the Facebook button to the right of the 'email' in your header. Recipes on the right: bold the given name of the recipe - SEO and user value. Consistency error - one case has a space between the colon and the recipe name, the other doesn't.
