Hi, i have a static site, not a blog, so it's not updating. As a result my homepage is "refreshed" in google index once a week, maybe more than that, ~ 10 days. I want to put a blog on it, like site.net/blog and make it an autoblog, to post 2-3 posts a day to be "fresh" in the eyes of google, using keywords related to my niche. How should i do this ? Should i put nofollow on posts and pages to block google from indexing them ? Because they will be kinda rubbish pages and i wouldn't make no seo to them, no backlinking, i want to use this blog ONLY for refreshing my homepage. If i put 2-3 links from site.net/blog/ to site.net/ will this help me in order to refresh the homepage of site? Because if it will re-cache only the site.net/blog/ it will not help me at all.
The autoblog which using scraped contents from other website may not run as long lasting, a few weeks may be the most. It cannot help your website homepage refreshes anyway. It will be looked as a junk blog as you already mentioned. I would recommend you create a real content instead of autoblog. It will not solve the problem, thus may reduce the trust toward your main website as well. If you do not want to spend big budget or not have time, I would recommend at least hire some cheap Indian writer to get the job done. You would get original content while save your cost, make your website grow in a long term. Please be aware that you may have to consistency update on them for a period of time before Google would adjust their crawling rate matching the new ratio.
The Homepage for the module will show you a list of all the currently cached URIs for each Site. A pulldown on the lefthand of the screen allows you to move between Sites without having to use the ExpressionEngine Control Panel's "Sites" tab and a search allows you to narrow down results. In case files are deleted from the file system manually (i.e. via (S)FTP), the module will check that the cached pages still exist in the file system and remove missing cached pages from the database. If you wish to refresh the cached pages, simply choose the select box for each URI and click "Refresh Cached URIs" button The cache files will automatically be removed from the file system and the URIs will be put into the queue for re-caching. If you no longer wish for certain URIs to be cached, simply choose the select box for each URI and click "Delete Cached URIs" button The cache files will automatically be removed from the file system and the URI removed from the list of cached URIs in the database.
So if i create a blog with unique content, wroted by me, it will help my homepage to be refreshed often?
So how should i do the connection between site.net/blog/ and site.net/ in order to be frequently recached my homepage.
