Re-arranging already indexed site

    Hi,

I have an already indexed site that until now was purely a forum. I bought it in myBB and have since converted it to vB and installed vRewrite. It's got about 5000 indexed pages in google, but only 1000 are topics and 200 are forums. I'm assuming the rest are things like the calendar, etc. with hundreds of different variables.

The forum has installed in the root domain.com. I want to expand the site to be content with a forum attached. Do I add the content sections as:
    domain.com/subject1, domain.com/anothersubject, etc.
and leave the forum at domain.com/ or move the forum as well to domain.com/forum

If I move the forum everything will be well-organised in a domain.com/section structure, with the main page domain.com being a portal/splash into the rest of the site.

I've setup 301 redirects for the existing indexed topics/forums to the appropriate places but I'm concerned that if I move the forum again it might cause more problems than its worth. If I don't, I've got to work the existing content around my pretty url vRewrite mod (i.e. domain.com/forum-name2/topic-name.html).

    Advice is much appreciated, thanks!

301 redirect should work - but personally I would only change the index page and put the new stuff in their own new subdirectory. Just to simplify things.
