http://www.rawathletics.com Please review design, usability and clarity. Any and all suggestions are appreciated!
Hello RawAthletics, There is a lot of room for improvement on your site. When I first arrived to your site I was confused because your product description “Natural Sports Equipment Cleaning & Deodorizing Spray†was in two different colored fonts, which left me thinking you sell “Natural Sports Equipment†and “Cleaning Deodorizing Spray.†Since that is not the case, I would make it all one color so the visitor doesn’t get confused. I then did a Google search for sports equipment spray and there are thousands of sites on the internet you are competing against. Why should visitors buy from you? How are you going to break through the noise, grab visitor's attention and differentiate yourself from your competitors? You are marketing your product as “natural†but you do not let the visitor know what about it is natural. Clarity trumps persuasion. You only have between 4 and 7 seconds to grab the new visitor and tell him why he should be dealing with you instead of your competitors. You do this with something called your Unique Value Proposition. Those are the reasons and they have to be front and center on your homepage above the fold. Why do the your buttons “More Information†and “Order Now†take you to the same page? The “More information†button should bring the user to a site where they can learn even more about your product. Maybe a video of the product in action? In the shopping cart you are missing trust symbols. How is the visitor going to know that you are a reputable site and that their credit card information is protected? It is just too easy to click away from your site at this point. Remember, you are in a very competitive space with well established websites, reputations, pricing and customer service. What is going to make people trust you and want to buy from you? Let me know what you think. I would be happy to look at your site again later. In the meantime, I would recommend you read up on Unique Value Proposition to help you let your website visitors know how you differentiate yourself from your competitors. http://bit.ly/9tCYXe Kindly, Shelby Optimizing your website for conversion isn't expensive. Leaving money on the table is.
nice deisgn not really sure what the product has to do with raw athletics though ( which to me sounds a little like a gay porn site )
Hey lol make it a little better , the backkground does not fit , the site What i like is the Banner Good Banner
I'll work on that Working on creating separate product pages for more of a value prop. This is also where the More Info button will point. I'm looking into BBB, but besides that, what else is there (that integrated with wp-ecommerce)?
it was also a bit confusing for me. I did not get what the site was about - about athletics or selling some spray...
I guess I need to clear this up somehow....basically the company is Raw Athletics, and we sell a product called Vapor Fresh, which is a sports equipment cleaning and deodorizing spray. In the very near future, Raw Athletics will have more products being sold on its website and a nice little ecommerce shop. Ideas on how to clear this up?
I just had the final edits completed. How does everything look? I think I have solid sales points, and strong SEO.
Before people will spend money with you or give you their e-mail address, they have to trust you. What generates trust in a website? * Security symbols * Professional certifications * Testimonials * Clear shipping, return and privacy policies that seem fair and reasonable * Customer service availability by phone and e-mail Here are links to 2 popular trust certificates: http://www.comodo.com/ & http://www.truste.com/ . PayPal carries a lot of credibility and that will help you as well. Kindly, Shelby
The content is good but I would suggest trying to go with a "locker room" theme, the dark wood-grained background could theoretically be a country club locker room, but your product doesn't seem targeted at golf clubs. Bottles of your product sitting on a bench in a high school or college locker room is so logical, there is probably someone around that can perform some Photoshop magic and get you some imagery that actually sells your product. Let me know if you create an affiliate program, I have a few sporting good product websites that would be appropriate as long as you are paying at least a couple of dollars per sale. Good Luck with the project.
