Rate this company website currently in progess compared to the old one!

Hello, I am completely redesigning a company called "Momentum Auto Works"'s website. Their old website was (and still currently is) not very appealing to the eye and does not (in my opinion) give customers the feeling of security.

Please compare and rate both websites, the new website is still under construction and not at all finalized.

If you are viewing the new site through IE6 or lower, the website may not function as intended because I have not incorporated the IE6- Style Sheet yet.


Edit-- Please include all suggestions for the new website. I am still experimenting with the background of the bigger right box (where a majority of all content will be held), also the footer has not yet been made.

 

hi nice design u can highlight some of the keywords like OEM auto parts , accessories and u could some content to UPCOMING PROJECTS and also submit your site to --->yahoo directory.

MY special opinion is tat u could add some Promotional video about your products........and nice blog......

Your new design is MUCH better!

I agree to add some video to the site. The old site fading out to BLOG is terrible. It's important to have a blog but having it in the navigation - as you've done in the new site - is a definite improvement. Perhaps do one of those "rolling" product photos in the home page box (empty right now).

Thank you for the input DartLady. I have already been planning on implementing rolling (fading), product photos into the content box (empty box), so I'm glad to see someone else also has the same idea

hi the new site is pretty much user friendly,systematic and informative than the old one.i would like to you suggest just a minor change i.e to shift the Help and Info in the menu bar with other options as its more convenient there than to scroll down. Rest you are doing a great Job. Keep it Up.

I think the new website is heaps better - I am not sure what is going on in the top right corner.

 

The top right corner will have a "Chat Live" button once completed

 

I would say put some hover graphics over the menu and get rounded corners around the page or bring it down a bit. Personally prefer design that the page does not go all the way to the top.

 

It's a good template for auto stuff...I do like the new site better than the old, but not much better. i thought maybe you would change a bit more, but I noticed some of the things at the top like the menu change. I kinda like the top menu better in the old site, but the left column and the rest is much better than the old site.

I think you should play with the colours...making them more translucent instead of solid....but I'm not a "designer"..i am looking at this as a regular person.

 

it's looking better then the old one thats' for sure...maybe give more life to homepage with more vivid colors and nicer menu on the left.
