Thanks for all of the feedback guys! I have made a few changes check them out concept7studios.com, now for the font size... I'm not sure yet because a lot of people have said that the font is fine but some are saying its too small (font in the header for v1)
It looks better at the normal metric with the larger size, but because you are still using fixed metric (aka px) fonts, it's still pretty much useless without zooming in 30% or so to large font/120 dpi users.
I like your v2 much more. It's way more creative. In general you should be more careful with the padding you set to elements. Give everything some room to breathe and it will look much more professional
@deathshadow, Tested on 21 inch monitor with 120 dpi looks just fine... @tonyc, Yeah but I had to use padding because margins don't work right when in floats.
8/10. Confused about something. On recent work: http://www.livingbeyondadsense.com/ and http://www.concept7studios.com/v2/ Very similar. x)
The header (logo) is somewhat cluttered. Minimize the use of words on the header. The email address doesn't seem to be on the right position. Put some whitespace between the vertical navigation bar and testimonials. Get your text a better font. Overall design is good. I like the background. The use of colors are okay.
v1: nice, especially the logo. but i feel that the "home" part little bit empty and unfocused, maybe a white background would help. v2 is great, a little flash effect will be more great.
looking great. version 1.0 - 9/10 version 2.0 - 7/10 in version 1.0 change the Testimonials font. keep it up - even though were competitors
nice website...the icons are so cute and does look pro at the same time.... V2's color is very nice, I love black...but the colorful "lines" a bit distracting...hence I like original one more ______________________________________________ Service is the heart to your business Dana D'Cotta www.boatelBBQ.com
Theres actually a wallpaper instead of the black background, takes couple seconds to load up since its a big file
I agree. Many web designers do not put in alt tags just to satisfy valid xhtml. If you web site is directed at clients who want web design, they certainly wont be blind. As for the quote "problem", it's not really a problem. Using blockquote is not a standard and is completely optional. And as for tables, there is nothing wrong with tables. That's just a personal bias most designers have. I used tables for 4 years then eventually moved over to divs so people like DeathShadow would leave me alone (no offense). Anyways, overall it's good. I think the v2 should be default rather than having to find it at the bottom. And you might want to work on the "portfolio" page. Having a wall of text isn't as attractive.
@NathanCH: Thanks!!! I would love to have v2 as my default but the thing is I'm using transparent .png images there and on computers that don't have graphic cards and not using the latest windows the images come up with a white background instead of transparent. And I am working on the portfolio pages, I soon realized it really didn't look that great
