I am having very hard time following your blog. For me, it seems it is very hard to read your header area. The text color is very difficult to distinguish between the photo and the text. Also you may want consider changing the font color for the posting sections. It is too close to the background itself. You want the text to stand out and you want to be able direct a users eye to certain places.
You might need to consider to change your header banner. Cant really see the word Others are good enough
I like the tone of your blog.. relaxed and friendly. Although you tackle some serious topics like the oil spill! I would rate you 7.5/10
You've got some work to do Matt. You haven't optimized your site, you need to do that, and get some backlinks. You might wanna just start fresh with a great domain name. You seem to have a bit of content, which is good, but there doesn't seem to be any real purpose for your site as far as the visitor is concerned. You're a PR 0 right now, so it's an uphill battle from here. Start optimizing !!
It is definatly a good website but still not the best. As seawebguy already stated you have to do some optimizing. I´d give it a 7.5/10 so far though.
Have you optimized? It does not seem like you have. Now, as for my two cents. I think that what everyone is saying on the header banner is that the title itself is difficult to read because it is gray and the sky is blue... Pretty simple... Now, if you would have optimized you would know that Header titles are important when it comes to search engine bots analyzing and placing your site in serps. Pictures do NOT add much value in optimization. So, you may want to remove the main title and place it above the banner itself. The color of the font against the background does not bother me, but I see how some people may find it too close to the background color. With regards to content, I think you have great content.
The header is a bit distracting and there are some spacing issues...I would suggest a different theme

You should try getting your own domain for your marketing blog website. I overall like it... 7.5/10 You really should do something about either the font or background color though. It sort of got to me after reading a few posts from the site.. Good luck!
Orange text on a yellow background is a bit hard to read but everything else looks neatly laid out. How is your campaign going??
You know it hasn't been bad, the traffic has really started to go and I have enjoyed it... i do try to stick in some humor The thing I am trying to do now is put in backlinks....
That orange text has got to go. Really hard to read. Blue header on blue background picture, ditto. Nice pic though.
