I think this type of thinking appeals to the black community.

I don't think this type of thinking appeals to the black community. It does explain why white supremacist groups are endorsing him though.

Too bad for the neocons Ron Paul's people are stating ahead of the game. Nice try though.

That's what he says...that doesn't mean it's true. There's no question it came from RP. There's no question he got caught making some very derogatory and racist remarks. That didn't even include the remarks he said about Jews. And it's no coincidence that he's endorsed by david duke and a number of white supremacist groups. Far too many coincidences.

I don't think they really care. rp represents a very limited set of core values that appeals to them:

    1) endorsed by alex jones, david duke and white supremacist groups
    2) he's given hope to the troofer community by indicating he and kucinich would open investigations (kucinich is a far left loon as well) into 9/11
    3) rp hates Jews and Israel (so do rp supporters)
    4) rp has pledged not to protect America and not take action against those that attack us
    5) rp blames America first, always

Those are the core values that seem to represent virtually every supporter I've seen of rp. These are his "conservative" values.

The problem is you have nothing he says to disagree with...unless you disagree with the constitution. You slander him because you have no answers. Sorry, no one is buying it anymore.

I don't believe our Constitution talks about how young black men are fleet-footed and how they are incapable of sensible political positions.

I can certainly see why rp, just like his supporters, would need to hide behind the Constitution on that though.

You know he didn't write that. Sorry, but the diversions from real issues won't work. Your trying to impersonate Jesse Jackson is amusing :D

Suddenly your concerned about statements on young black males? A bit disingenuous.

Thats like attacking Jesse Jackson and Bill Cosby for being anti-black male....it just doesn't fly.

    They made similar statements.

I'm concerned about a plethora of racial statements made, as well as a seemingly growing number of racial groups pledging support to a the man making these statements.

Should I believe that blacks are incapable of making sensible political decisions? I'm not sure that's something Jackson or Cosby would agree with. It's certainly not something I agree with.

I don't think I would compare what jesse jackson says to what Bill Cosby has said. BIG difference from all I have heard. Bill Cosby is honest and hits where jesse would never go. Jesse is about the money, he needs racism for his business to exist, he propagates racism whenever possible.

But don't try to peg me as anti-RP, since I know very little about him. I like his voting record for the most part and what he "says" about big government and the constitution. I don't like his stance on Israel or his foreign policy (or lack thereof)

You know GTech, if you want to talk about Ron Paul's opinions of blacks, you have two conflicting reports. You have one article supposedly written by Paul 10 years ago, and you have 30+ years of a deep history of combatting racism and collectivism, seen in his voting record, his public statements, and his many writings such as the quotes listed above. I'm all for calling people out when they've done wrong, but every piece of information but that one article points to the fact that Ron Paul is as far from a racist as anyone I've ever heard, and yet you still try to propagate the idea that he's a racist.

Are you just ignorant to the rest of his history, which corroborates the idea that he is far from a racist, or are you maintaining this falsity to help attack a man whose other policies you vehemently disagree with?

That is the neocon agenda. Always distract and defame. They give classes on it everyday. You just have to watch Faux News.

Sigh, it's just laughable, that this is one of the biggest attacks I've seen on Ron Paul throughout the past six months. If this is the best they can come up with, name recognition is the only thing in the way of the White House.

fletch, believe that we're making ground. Remember Ghandi's doctrine.

    First they ignore you CHECK
Then they laugh at you CHECK
Then they attack you IN PROGRESS
    Then you win

Dr. Paul wouldn't be getting this much attention if he wasn't perceived as a threat.
