Rarely shown due to low quality score - Can't believe this, HOW???

Well been using Adwords for over 2 years with about 4 campaigns. 2 of the campaigns have been running for them 2 years without any changes. CTR on some of the keywords has been 5% or more on avg, costs per click has been pretty low also, with some being under 10 cents per click.

Well noticed a drop in some pageviews in some areas of a site of mine, not the one in my sig. In anycase, looked at Adwords and every single campaign with every single keyword has the "rarely shown due to low quality score. So in other words, no longer am getting any page impressions or clicks to the ads. I was getting over 1,000 clicks from Google a month with an avg cost of 12 cents per click for one of my sites.

Now the quality score says 1/10. The landing page has gone poor. How I don't know as it's not changed at all, no keywords or campaigns have changed, nothings changed infact. Now the kewords, campaign info and also the landing page is totally related to each other. In other words, a keyword saying "list of shoe shops" would go to a landing page that lists shoe shops.

Not sure what's happened here, but starting to feel like it's some sort of mistake on their end as I don't know how the keywords could possibly get anymore targeted to the content on the page.

Has anyone got a direct contact for Google adwords via an online contact form so I could give that a try?

    Thanks!

Surely there must be a direct contact somewhere on your adwords contract. Try looking there.

Are you promoting your own site or promoting a thin site with affiliate links. Adwords have change there way to slap the adwords account. Few month back when you violet ant TOS Google stop your account. Now i notice in my few adwords campaign quality score down from 10 to 1, and message displayed “your ads are rarely showing due to low quality score. If you do not break any policy you contact adwords again.

The affiliate links are what is dropping your score. Google is not fond of affiliate marketing. I would try to take the affiliate links out and see if that make a difference.

Pointless taking the affiliate links out as that's the business model in the first place. Without the affiliate links, then there is now income. I'll just have to find alternative advertising.

I've just decided to aim to promote a forums I have via using Adwords. The url is the forums homepage which has no affiliate links on.

Everything was fine, spent a while selecting my keywords. Day later I check to see if the campaign was approved and how many clicks I had got. I had got 4 impressions and suddenly all the keywords have got the same thing as my other keywords for my other campaigns. The landing page is not of quality. Everything else is fine.

This is total nonsense and have had enough with it now. I personally believe there is an error somewhere on Adwords side of things. Linking to a games forum homepage that has that keyword in it plus using the keyword "games forum", I really don't know why that is bringing up a low landing page score.

Anyway, after this I prefer to spend my money elsewhere.

Contacting support does not help in such cases... I tried that for my campaigns but got very generic answers to my queries... Which is why most of the guys are jumping to other traffic n/w's

Once you TLD has been slapped, as it appears to have been, it's very difficult to get it "un-slapped". It can be done, but you need to ascertain from Google what they don't like about the site and that can be harder than pulling hen's teeth to get that info out of them.

Have you changed the URL's lately and not 301 permanently redirected the old url's into the new ones?
How are your Google SERP results for the keywords in your ad groups?
Are you selling any links on your pages?
