I have been bloggin for about 6-7 months now and not sure why I have not made any money or clicks. It just seems that no body clicks on my ads, thinking that my ads are placed in the wrong section.

I am just looking for some information on what I can do to increase clicks. I believe I have decent amount of traffic, since the opening day of my blog to present, i have about 4k visitors (is this low?)

Anyways here is my blog link. please help with suggestion on improving.

It sounds like you are saying you have received 4000 visitors in 6-7 months. That's not a lot of traffic.

You should hope for 1%-5% of your traffic clicking on ads. 5% would be high.

So, the question is what is your percent? If you are getting less than 1%, than your ad placement might be bad. But if you are getting 1%-5%, then you traffic is not high enough.

It seems like most of your ads are below the fold. Don't expect visitors to browse your site for hours and scroll to the bottom of every post to see your ads. Put them above the fold so visitors are exposed to them the moment they land on your site. However, get the balance right of putting ads above the fold and NOT looking spammy.

As tom11011 stated, it reads for me as well that you received 4k uv's in 6-7 months. Is that accurate? What is your CTR of the banners?

The visitors I got, I read off my site meter banner at the bottom of my main page. That may not be the best way to tell how many visitors I have thou. I am not familiar with all this as I started blogging for hobby. But now wanted to make some cash off it. As for my CTR it only .12% got this off google adsense.

Thank you for your suggestion, I will try to see if I can move my ads around a bit.

Yes, I would say the ads need to be changed around with .12

Sign up for google analytics so you can track your traffic.

Your site is very nice. Which ad is doing the best for you (you are tracking each ad with channels right)?

I would consider replacing the block "Khushi's MMO World is blog dedicated to " with a small text block ad, maybe the 250x250 one.

And by the way, I think you are doing the right thing. Creating a quality website first, monetizing it second. Maybe you could add a forum for users if you think they might use it. You could monetize that as well just like DP does.

    Tom, you are very helpful!

Thank you for the idea of placing ad in that Intro section I had, never thought of this!

As for google analytics, I signed up but never really cared about tracking visitors/traffic as it was more of a personal blog and was just doing it for fun.

As for my ad channel, well I sort just put them all in one channel. Again, never really paid too much attention to this, i figure if i made some cash i did, if not, oh well. But now as I start seeing how much people can make just for blogging as a hobby, why not make some out of it for me also.

Im gonna spend some time into my ad channel and try to separate them according to where I place them on my blog.

    Thanks Tom!

yes, do the ad channel. You need to know which positions are doing well and which are not. You might even think about changing some ads to show text ads instead of pictures.

play with adsense placements, and try to blend in those. And put where , where your readers think it would be helpful for them. And also, if you don thave traffic, then you wont have many clicks, so work on traffic :)

Be careful with buying traffic to adsense placements. It's against Google's TOS and could get your account banned. However, for other contextual networks/banners from CPA networks it should be fine, just either ask your AF manager or look in their TOS of what they say about paid/bought traffic or traffic from certain sources.

There are mixed results with buying traffic. If the traffic comes from countries such as the US, the clicks will be higher value. In the end though, I think you will find buying traffic has minimal results. Concentrate on creating quality content that keeps people coming back to your site.

Your traffic is on average at 22 visits a day, that's very few. Then if you also don't have a good ad placement (0.12% is very very low, you should aim at 5%) of course nobody ever clicks on an ad. At this rate of 22 visits a day, you must have one click every other month ..
With 5% CTR at least you would have got 200 clicks with 4k visits, but with what you told us I think you got maybe 4 or 5 clicks in all those months.

Focus on ad placement right now, try to come up with a better way to place your ads.

Then for the traffic, there is no secrets, if you want more visits, talk about topics searched for, even if those topics are not what you'd talk about naturally. Use Google Insights to know what people are searching for online, then write about it.
