Hi all, I have heard that Rapidshare.com and Rapidshare.de have been banned by AdSense as the users were uploading some copyright and illegal files on their servers. So, does this mean that no file hosting website can have AdSense?
Any file hosting service that does not moderate each and every file before it is available for download, yes.
this happened a long time ago it was due to many different things relating to the content that was on rapidshare all the illegal files, sure its not really rapidshares fault but google distanced them selves. I am sure they still are making money via the accounts but.
lol all uploading sites are in danger because i found some scripts which put the download link in hidden place so visitors click adsense .. and they allow copyrights uploaded to them server and this not allwed
rapidshare do not moderate their users data and most of the users share illegal files like mp3's, videos and cracked softwares. If I'm a legit advertiser I myself will distance myself from that kind of site.
The upload site are popular because of the illegal programe and free stuffs. and they got a lot of money from that. You can find every programe or song on rapidshare.
But, its too hard to moderate and review all the files uploaded. I say, it was not their fault. However, they are earning now with the premium memberships.
I have just found that some other websites like www.megaupload.com have AdSense on it. Great Luck For Them
Also Youtube is full of copyright violations but they must way too much for Google to try to give that up.
Because rapidshare will host virtually any illegal file including mp3, movies, pornography, warez, cracks, you name it.
