I’ve decided to sell RapForums.com. The main reason I am selling it, is that I had moved it to my secondary server a month ago and never moved it back to my primary one, and then this past Thursday evening the hard drive failed (my secondary server does not have a raid setup, only primary does) and I lost a lot of data. The most recent backup I had was from July 3rd.

Needless to say, I lost several hundred new member signups, tournaments that were going, and over 15,000 posts. I don’t have the time to rebuild the site, because I have many other sites I am working on.
This is a great deal for someone looking for a site to focus on, because the potential is DEFINITELY there.
The website ranks excellent for the term ‘Rap forums’ which is obviously the most used term for a forum like this. The site was #1 for all SE's for the term rap forums, but I just checked and now it is #2 in google, which is probally because the site was down thursday night thru last night. The site comes with everything you see there. I moved the site to my other server and loaded my backup late last night, and there was about 250 posts that were made, so there is still traffic.

Before the crash, the site was getting over 1,000 posts a day, and over 20 new members a day. Additionally, there were 2 tournaments that were going on that were extremely popular.

Anyways, I have screenshots of July’s statistics, only because I never reboot my laptop nor desktop, and found out that I had the awstats statistics already open in one of my tabs on my laptop, so luckily I can show how it was before hand.

This is one of the BEST domains in this genre, so the domain alone is worth a lot.
The currently loaded site has over 50,000 posts and over 3,000 members.
I just want to sell this, so starting bid is $8,000 BIN is set at a pretty fair $13,000

I will also provide the new owner with the contact information of the person that I had managing the site. I paid him a monthly fee, which was very fair.

Nice site and I would have considered this.. the trash bin section has over 16 thousand of the overall post; is that right?

You will need to drop the price considerably with no proof of income and only the potential for income.

Great domain, if I was you tho I would monetize the site and see what it earns as no-one is gonna pay anywhere near that on 'potential', people care about the here and now, so stick some google ads up or whatever would be ya best bet, nice forum tho.

 

Yes gweb, there are alot of posts in the trash bin because when early in july (or maybe it was mid june) my admins decided to flush the db a bit in order to clean up old posts, and moved them to the trash bin in order to keep the post count up.

Whatever - that would of been feasibl pre-crash, but now it isnt as meaningful.

 

I will make an offer of $4800. I just sold a site for that and that is all I can afford right now.

I know you wanted much more BIN, but if you are motivated to sell, my offer will be on the table forever.
