What most people are doing now, is offering SEO services, acting like they know what they are doing and then outsourcing the work to a place like fiverr,or warriorfourm, even here.

In my opinion, most offers in Warrior Forum is costlier than in DP. You are true about Fiverr.

It is almost the same on Elance now. There is people getting work over me that have absolutely no clue on how to do SEO. They off lower prices and don't even have tested skills. They failed the actual SEO tests so they put a non tested skill on there where they rate themselves 5 stars. Meanwhile I have top 5% score for the SEO test and lots of other tested skills and a great profile with past projects. I still see people who get work over me cause of low balling and lying.

When I started out I asked all the newbie question they are. I would try to do a search of the forum for the answers but frequently I did not even know what to search for. SEO has some specialized jargon. I think this is why they ask the same question over and over again.

I just joined DP today. I have been over at BHW and WF and needed to get away. At WF even the War Room is full of failed WSOs and other crap. I am looking to promote my site legitimately and I didn't see the paid part of BHW as being much better than the free considering what some of the senior members were posting. They, too, had pages and pages of the same nonsense.
I hope Shawn (I assume this is his board, sorry for taking liberties with using your first name) does create a paid forum. I would like to join it. However, we still need to help the new guys out. Maybe he could require members of the paid forum to either answer 10 newbie question a month or pay a cash penalty. I don't know how that would work, but we should have some incentive to go through all these stupid questions. We cannot just abandon the new guys.

Well true and not true. Firstly India is a huge country. There are absolutely top talents, even the CEO of Microsoft, there are also a lot of dirt. We are not really worried about losing members who produce nothing but trash services and running off with money. We will prefer our forums without them. But paid services for instance forums are rare, the forums have to survive on other incomes such as banners and advertising. On our end we are constantly trying to improve the quality of our membership and trying to clean the forums of scams, spams etc. Can't blame India for it, they have such a huge English speaking population who are highly educated. There are also spammers and scammers from every country. Our members can help by reporting on such trash and we appreciate such reports.

I will highly suggest the moderators to take down low quality threads! With poor use of English grammars and spelling... I know there are a lot of you not using English as your first language... However, making minimal grammatical error is acceptable but sometimes the usage of language throughout the thread is totally unacceptable

Well, I would say this forum is for SEO's out there you just can't say ban the SEO's in the DP. You just need to make up your mind why I am saying this is because some of the SEO's here are having much more experience than we can think of and I think you all must agree that information is everywhere what you need to do is to filter the right information. I know there are some spammers and ruined SEO's but still I will take their side because Google is just getting unpredictable day by day and sometime some runin SEO's or Noobs have the information to take to the top !! So, I'll say rather than creating some hate/love SEO threads better to create some informative thread which can help me other noobs and SEO's out there. Please don't take my comment as offence but rather take it as opinion because I really like to digg some more into this thing and as this is a forum so comments from everyone is welcome.

You have to welcome newbies asking basic questions, that's what these forums are for, to help people out. But as said by many of DP members these so behaving pioneers should either stop asking basic questions or stop giving SEO services

Issue is ours is a webmaster forum but an english language tutoring forum. As much as I would like to see good English here, you have to understand that we have an extremely diverse base, there are a lot here whose native tongue aren't English. Of course, given the ease of spell check, grammer check etc, the posters may want to use these first before putting up their posts.
