I promised a US client an iphone, I'm in the UK. Doesn't sound like too much of a drama does it? Well on the website it doesn't accept my UK billing address, it wants a US address. So the order fails as the card details don't match the billing address. So I give apple a call, they tell me I have to order it from the UK store, but the uk store sell iphones on o2 (a telephone provider) and my client is on AT&T so that's no good! Then the guy tells me it's illegal, some shipping law? LOL what a crock of crap. After many futile attempts and several calls I'm told there is no way possible at all of doing it. So Stevie jobs, I'm desperate to give you my cold cash, but you wont let me!
Apple received a lot of money to make the iPhone exclusive to different providers in different countries. It sucks for me because AT&T service is terrible where I live, almost unusable. Verizon has great service, but they cripple all of their phones so you can't do anything on them without paying a fee. The mobile phone industry is just one big example of collusion run amok.
If you can't buy a iPhone, just buy any mobile of the Nokia N Series Do tell me which mobile you have bought after purchasing it!
