I love my mac - I treasure it far more than my PC... having said that... Do any other people on here have trouble finding programs to run on their mac? Every sodding thing I come across to do with web administering is PC based - not mac compatible! I run a PPC processor so no chance of installing Boot Camp. Any opinions on this?! Mods - if this is in the wrong forum - please move for me! Thanks
Yep, you are in the wrong forum. Still you bought a PPC, so live with it You can always find a PPC build of Linux to just use that as your OS
What specifically are you looking for? I love my mac too Maybe try http://www.apple.com/macosx/server/ (max os x server)
I cannot say I have ever found something I could not run on my Mac that ran on a PC. Either using Virtual PC, or now, Cross Over which I use on my intel based Macs... Cross Over IMO is probably the best program on the planet for porting crummy PC apps to run on the Mac. For the most part, most of the Apps for PC that are worth anything had a (and have a) Mac variant first.
Got the mac for free - so can't really complain! I just have trouble and wondered if anyone else did. It's a rant so please don't direct comments at me! Just add helpful hints for everyone. Sonic
Yea, I hear ya... The saving grace is I have an Intel Mac and just run Parallels for those apps you just cant get... Save up for a cheap intel mini
