Hi People,

I want to ask you that can a .com.pk or .pk or any other country extension domain come above in rankings on Google.com search?

 

My experience has been that these are usually country specific and that if you want to rank in the US, hen use a straight up .com , and host in the US...
hosting matters as much as domain, IIMHO.

Any domain can rank anywhere, however country specific seem to have extra weight for that country, the biggest factor seems to be having your site hosted in the country you are targetting. Also getting links from other websites hosted in that country.

I have never seen a .country extension domain on top of a .com in General Search

Theres many .co.uk's

Im sure theres lots of others if I looked.

 

i think this depends on query type. i have one celebrity name .in domain comes for above .com domains.

 

When you search for ringtones you got 3 country extension domains in the top 5

So I don't think it matters in google.COM but if you're searching in a specific language (i.e. &hl=nl) or a country extension google (i.e. google.nl) it probably matters more where you hosted your site.
Don't forget .com stands for commercial so a .com website and a .country website doesn't make one more important because who says a .us website is more commercial then a .co.uk website, or otherwise?

 

it doesn't matter. as long as your site is in english you will be able to rank well with any domain
