Hello , something happened to my site 2 days ago .It was ranking on page 2 for its most competitive keyword (domain name)and now its not available at all . now it only searches for some categories on pages 15-18 but the main url is out. while i was bookmarking my site 2 days ago in a few major bookmarking sites i also bookmarked on google (dont know why) and in my webmaster account i resubmit my site-map . nothing else . can this be the cause or i just got penalized by google for something.
can someone please tell me , i worked hard to get to page 2 and now its all gone. is there any way i can check why penalized and what to fix .
    thank you

Maybe Google changed their algorythms which occasionally happens and means some sites benefit, others lose out. You will naturally find dips and troughs in the SERP's over time though.

If I were you I would monitor to see if your site moves back up after a week or so and if not do some good link building for the keywords you are targetting. I doubt you would have been penalized for bookmarking some links unless you did hundreds at once...?

You most likely did get penalized for something. You may have bookmarked too many of the same link or same type of information. I use bookmarking demon, and I always include foreign sites (actually about 80% of my bookmarking is foreign sites) so that the SEs don't realize that I am only bookmarking my sites.

This could be a reason, but who knows, Google does some weird things.
