Rankings dropped - is this normal?

    Nearly all my rankings in Google have dropped quite significantly. A few in the top 5 have dropped to the 2nd page or further, a rank 40 that I was working on just disappeared, et cetera. The rankings in Google Webmaster Tools for keywords '1 week ago' display the normal rankings, so the drop happened not too long ago, I am thinking 2-3 days.

    Is this normal? Is this temporary and will the rankings return to its original positions?

    Generally it depends on competency of particular keyword...

    If you found ...

    SEO SERVICES Australia , it has high competition so may be little bit fluctuation is normal...

    But if you find with SEM Services Australia, there are less chances to drop the listing, well on both of the keyword my website is ranking respectively 2nd and 1st Place...

    Probably,there are some webmasters there, who might be working better with the keywords for their SEO. You do the basics of SEO right, you might retain your position once again.

    Yes their have been so many changes , many bloggers and website owners removed their friends links and many social websites too updated that why pr got down . Work hard it may be up next time . Best of luck

    I just noticed mine have different positions when searched in different google regional sites. Some goes up, some came down.

    I'm at the point where I stopped trying to figure it out. One day my site is number one for certain keywords and the next day not. I've found that over a period of months there are usually a couple of days where Google basically drops me and then it comes back.

    It's extremely frustrating, but what can you do.

    Lately I have noticed that something strange has been going on with google, I would
    not worry about these changes, I think they are temporary hopefully things will be
    back to normal in due time.
