submit your site in Yahoo Site Explorer. In Bing, create a bing webmasters account and submit your blog and site map there.

I would caution, just submitting your site to Site Explorer won't necessarily work. My site status has been "Authenticated" for the longest time, and it hardly gets anything from Yahoo...

Yahoo is serving Bing's results now, so submitting to site explorer won't necessarily help. Is your site indexed in Bing? Bing does tend to place more weight on domain age, but usually if you rank well with Google, your bing rankings should follow. It just takes time. Has it been like this for a long time now?

I would choose Yahoo Explorer and webmaster for Bing, but be sure to follow the webmaster guidelines and you should see positive results.

However what about after submitting into YSE? There have to be other steps to take.. most recently I've been building up blog comments so bot crawlers will find backlinks to my page much easier. Are there other options, specifically for Yahoo! to find my pages?

this is a very simple answer though. Most crawlers will check if you submit your URL into crawling indexes, or also ping RSS reading services.

Don't worry about it. Only Google matters. The rest will find you eventually.

Onsite seo is very important on yahoo/bing/lycos,
i have experienced a couple of times that sites rank for a phrase or a keyword when the keyword is in the domain and you have a good onsite seo.

google is more accurate than yahoo and bing.plus the google has the slower time to rank any websites, because google has much more analysis upon a website than in yahoo and bing
