Get More Content. 2. Get More Backlinks from partners with PR and Anchor Text. 3. Do 1 And 2 4. Do 1 And Get Google +1 5. Do 2 And Get Google +1 6. Do 1 And 2 Get Google +1 Looking for a Fast Solution and a Smart one. I've been at this for 1 year already competing with this guy under my keyword... I was number 6 now I'm second and his first and never goes down...
Get some google +1 but don't like get 100k a day and stop it, i will look very unnatural to google and I think your article is over optimized. If you don't mind, show me your site, I'll help you analyse it.
get more content then try to get the same links as your competition and more links and more links and fresh content
Do some link wheels and create different blogs on different platform for get back link from that blogs
Are these backlinks just to the home page of both sites? If yes, find out how many backlinks there are for internal pages of the other site. Bcoz having backlinks to home page itself is not sufficient. Also get different TYPES of backlinks - web20, articles, videos etc. Bcoz for example, 100 PR3 backlinks of different TYPES count more than 1000 same TYPE of PR3 backlinks. If amount of content is about the same on both sites, then above points are the main reasons why you are not ranking up. hope it helps.
