Ranking on the local search map?

    How do you get ranked high on local map/local search?

    I was thinking of getting a lot of relevant local links with local versions of the anchor text. Maybe also get more reviews on the review sites on judie's book and yelp.

    What do you guys think?

    Google webmaster tools.
    They have done it all for you.
    Also consider if site allows it automatically adding local towns etc to url or meta etc
