Dude you should be happy. It's much more important (and harder) to rank well on Google than on Yahoo. Whatever you were doing to achieve this keep doing it. Don't worry much about Yahoo.

The ranking is based on the same fundamental system for both engines: more backlinks - better SERPs

Be more focus on google. Though yahoo can contribute traffic once your keywords are starting to rank, but the major search engine that drives you a traffic is the google. So be happy that your keyword rank in google.

yeah Yahoo is much more difficult to rank on as opposed to google. I ranked number one on google for "how to start a clothing line" for forever and yahoo took a good 4to 6 months more for me to rank number 1 for the same term.

I guess it makes since because they most likely use a very different algorithm than each other. Google is number 1 in search for a reason...simply they know what there doing.

You surely are lucky to rank first on google, as the other have said. i find it more easy to rank on yahoo rather on google. i used to be on the first page on google but as i found today that i was kick off again. yes focus on google more as it is the search engine most visited.

Whether or not Yahoo gives traffic these days is one thing, but I still think that it is important for you to try and get your sites ranking well in Yahoo, as well as Google.

You never know when Google will do another update and your site disappears from the SERPs. If you can get a decent ranking in Yahoo, you won't be placing all your eggs in one basket.

Have a good keyword density on your pages and build lots of back links.

Hopefully, you will also see your site in yahoo search results.

quite honestly, why even worry about yahoo at this point? With so much turmoil, why not go with the big dog here.

Yahoo is slow in terms of lookinf for keywords compared to google. As always, google was better in terms of searches.
