Any way of finding out which are the highest ranked wikipedia topics? I've tried searching on Google and Yahoo but no luck. So am going page by page as some topic comes to mind. The homepage (English) is of course PR 9 The page on the United States is PR 8 War on Terrorism PR 7 George Clooney PR 6 s*x PR 7 Health PR 7 Money PR 7 it would be interesting to know which topics are PR 9/8 and why?
It's not too many hot topics, why you don't go through all of them and check the page pr. It's hot topics, so many people link their site to the hot topics, and thus the pr is 9/8. I 'm interesting also, did you get any ideas now?
Personally I think Google should not index Wiki's.. The problem is, when you google something, more often then not the top results are Wikipedia. If I wanted to search Wikipedia for something, I would go to Wikipedia, not Google..
you will see the reason , if you make search with link: operator . it's one of the strongest web site on the web
Google's love for Wikipedia goes way too far. I mean you make a search for something and sometimes the whole first results page is cluttered with Wiki. Sometimes Wiki pages that are not in English and pages that only has a headline with no info below rank higher than many real quality websites.
