Ranking of video in Google

    We know that once a while Google will show a video that is related to a search term.

    However, how does Google rank that video?

    Is it also by number of backlinks, similar to any websites? Or they go by ratings?

    Anyone knows?

    According to Hunter Walk, a product manager at Google Video, google emphasis on the meta data provided by the creator of the video and also heavily relies on the data provided by the community.In this way, google ranks videos.

    Google rank videos as they rank any normal webpage based on the backlinks pointing to that particular video file or page.

    My site content of Video from youtube was banned from google index.
    Now traffic only receive from Yahoo.

    Yes, Video promotion is based on backlinks and keywords including in the page.
