    Backlinks are essential. But they won't do it alone. You also need fresh original content that you update on a regular basis. And incorporate good keywords in your content.

    creating and publishing articles. articles are an easy source of generating new traffic. you can include your signature in your article. this will bring in more traffic from article submission directories.

    Actually article sites and directories have a lot less juice than they used to. Their rankings really dropped with the Panda and Penguin updates.
