Algorithms are different. I assume that is the main reason of such things

surely that situation is better? why would you want to rank for anything specifically in yahoo? i never worry about yahoo rankings.

From my experience it would have to do with different algorithms. For example yahoo's algorithm puts a lot of emphasis on keyword density. So it's possible that you put some new content on your site that has boosted your serp in Google but dropped in yahoo. Check and monitor what you have done recently on to your site.

I think yahoo is more difficult to rank in... sometimes. As whenever you do a good website it's doing well in google, but the main problem with yahoo (and I have to say I use mainly yahoo) that they always have some spammy websites on first and second pages for short time... then they recover and provide better results.
As of this I think you should wait a bit and yahoo will pick u up as they're a bit slower than google.

If you are ranking good in Google, but not in Yahoo,
then why are you still worried about that.
Just focus on your Google Ranking.
I like how Google indexed the pages.

Yahoo and Google have different algorithms. Yahoo gives more weight to onpage factors than backlinks. Put unique contents to your site to get a good ranking in Yahoo.

I used to think that Yahoo would look at Google to find out what they have on page 1, number one, then copy that info... WRONG... Yahoo is a different animal and then now we have Bing. Just keep on doing what you're doing and maybe Y will come around. But like ThereseLim's said... if you're doing well in G, don't sweat the small stuff.
