Ranking for my keyword - any idea please ?

I build my blog around my main keyword.. I choose the domain which is the main keyword.. and I add unique content to my blog. Now I want to go ahead and use tactics and tips to rank first for my keyword.. what's the best FREE tactic to use please?
I want the fastest, best way to rank high say in Google.

 

Depends how competativce your keyword is.

If your On Page Seo is good then building links targetting not just your main keyword but a few others as well will help you improve your ranking and traffic.

However if your keyword is very competitve then its going to take longer and more quality links.
