Hello! I run a tiny affiliate site in a local language which is making a small amount of money. I saw that other affiliate sites sometimes add for example a subdirectory like /it/ and make a version in italian language. So I thought I would try and either register another domain and use google translate to target an audience in a different language with the same content. Or perhaps try and install a second wordpress blog under /it/ or a subdomain and translate it and try to sort of use the domain authority to boost search engine ranking. Has anyone tried any wordpress plugins with some success that translates automatically with som succes? Have you been penalized? Is it fine to use translate google or will this be penalized? I Anyone tried something similiar? I'd be happy to hear success stories and failures. Cheers!
