Yikes That is sad . I hope it's a shuffle and still shuffling Right off the map On the other hand the experimental site has room to climb and seems to still be doing that.
i don't think many peoples' yahoo serp decreases are coop related ... my big coop sites (4 different sites checked that have a lot of reliance on coop) are still on the top of the pile on yahoo. i dunno homer ... the combo of coop and lv is kicking butt for me. (before any of you complain - ads not hosted on the same site.) with over 2000 static links from LV (as of today) in addition to my coop weight, i'm really noticing some serious impact on the serps.
I checked my yahoo today. It dropped, lots of keywords are gone today. They aren't in the coop, so I know its not that. Something else is up at yahoo. Never drove traffic anyways, so I'm not going to sweat it too much.
What weight was used to get this site up in Googles SERP's for the kw 'Charity' ? Sorry if i missed it, i read 5 pages & got fed up
Just noticed our test site has now fallen out of Yahoo (not in the top 100 results for the term charity).
Interesting, My result has been the same. I did have alot of COOP weight pointing to it 1 month ago but hardly any now.
well that was a whole 4 days ago ... having trouble finding 3 of my top yahoo players all of a sudden.
It looks like my sites using co-op have dropped off Yahoo (it used to be ranked top 3) and my sites that are not in co-op (now using Link Vault) are still on top in Yahoo. Is this coincidence or is this a new Yahoo co-op filter we're experiencing?
Charity site is still in Google, nr18 Charity site is not in Yahoo, checked first 500 results..... About 7 weeks the same happened to me, got penalized by Yahoo while Google rankings kept on climbing(while using co-op) Just noticed a strange thing though, when checking my rankings with the Keyword Tracker my Yahoo results are back in top10's again! Not sure if this is caused by really old(7 weeks+) results returned by the Keyword Tracker or that my site is back in Yahoo again, as normal results are not showing them....
Like almost everyone else - all my sites that are using Co-op ads have been heavily hit by Yahoo's latest moves. Has anyone asked the folks at Yahoo if use of co-op advertising is grounds for being thrown out of the Yahoo SERPs? I for one am not interested in falling out of favor with Yahoo. Also - has anyone checked with Google to make sure this wont happen with them? sam.
I have seen no decline with sites in Yahoo + coop - seems to be fine so far (but I dont have that much weight).
samm27 Good luck in getting an answer. They will never tell you. They may say that link schemes are grounds for a penalty or a ban, but they won't address coop specifically.
