Hi One of my sites uses a script (phpmyrealty) which uses site wide metatags, it has a CMS for adding "pages" but they are not pages in the real term if that makes sence, by that I mean it doesn't create pages that can be edited on the server, because they aren't on the server. Each one just ends with a number for example www.mysite.com/Pages/1.html, but there is no folder on the server called Pages, because as I say they aren't really pages, does that make sense? Because of this it has over 200 duplicate description tags and 60 duplicate title tags (found in webmaster tools) and I can see no possible way of fixing this, to stop the duplication I would need to remove the metatags altogether, then I would have NONE across any of the site. At the time of setting up the site I wasn't aware this was going to be the case or I would of done it differently and I have had top ranking (number 2 or three) for my main keywords for many years, but since the update I am wavering between 8-12 (dropping slowly), I can only think this is the problem because all my SEO is above board.
