    Dear All,

We really need some help and advice here as we are in a big mess. Yesterday at around 2pm IST out of the blue, rankings of all our websites dropped from 1st and 2nd page of Google.co.uk to 6th and 7th Page of the search engine on all keywords. We have been working on these websites from more than 5 years now and they were really doing well with respect to traffic and rankings.

We did not receive any notification from Google at all, neither are we using any wrong practice to promote our sites. Here are few of the domains, http://tinyurl.com/6kv2oru , http://tinyurl.com/446t577 , http://tinyurl.com/6jbn2je that were doing really good before yesterday afternoon.

It is so frustrating that Google can anytime do anything with any business. With this act of Google, it is stated clearly that we are on mercy of Google now.

Can anyone please help us with this, can you please suggest what have gone wrong with our sites please.

    Kind regards,
    Webmaster

I am feeling quite bad to hear from you that the ranking of your sites have been dropped fro 1st and 2nd to 6th and 7th position. You are saying that you haven't done anything wrong upon which Google has dropped your sites to lower ranking pages but i want to advice you that you must once again revisit the work(SEO) you have done on these web in the past 3 to 6 months, as there is a possibility that you have made a blunder in it for which the Google has dropped your ranking. I am sure this will help you a lot.

Sorry to hear that. I'm reading a book called "Outsmarting Google" and in it, the author speaks about changing the value of backlinks. If what the author says is true, then previously high valued backlinks are losing value because of various practices that Google frowns upon. Best of luck!
