All sites from my domain dropped from top to very bottom rankings On the search words: ‘paradigm shift definition’ the following s site used to have Google ranking 1, for at least a year. http://huizen.daxis.nl/~henkt/paradigm-shift-definition.htm till in first 5 in: Ask Jeeves, Altavista, Lycos and Teoma. But it COMPLETELY was removed from the Google database. In one way a confirmation that mainly Google delivers traffic. But such ‘jokes’ do not add to a positive imago of Google, and are quite bad for my heart. I waited until after first weekend following the “Google danceâ€, but nothing changed. I can’t believe it, but it LOOKS like my domain was in some way blacklisted. My 50 philosophy sites from domain: http://huizen.daxis.nl/~henkt/ ALL lost their ranking in Top 10. Many removed, others ranked somewhere at the bottom. My commercial sites went from 50 visitors per day to1 or 2. Total traffic to my sites dropped from 1250 to 50 visitors. Awfully FRUSTRATING to have high page-ranks and see 7 YEARS of daily efforts to improve ranking vanish in 1 single day. I sent mails to: google@google.com googlebot@google.com No reactions yet, only automatic replies. Henk Tuten
If that would be true then your site wouldn't come up on the second page for your phrase -paradigm shift definition-. So thats one thing you can rule out. Still it is sad to hear that one loses places after so many years but that should tell you enough on what to do next ..
And what might that be Crazyhorse? Were all being screwed over by google, they have become too big for their boots. Thank god for MSN, my traffic from them as increased massively in the last month.
Hi crazyhorse You're right. It looks more like a severe penalty. I'm not paranoid at all, but this happened 1 day after the mapping agency of US Army (used to eliminate 'hostile' US intelligence) visited several of my sites. Have some fun at my site: hhhhhhttp://huizen.daxis.nl/~henkt/united-states-empire.html (sorry I'm not allowed to post links yet)
I am just a beginner, but I would be checking the quanitity of links to my competators and their anchore text in links, then check my on page seo
Damm you just took the words out of my mouth. Your drop in rankings could be just a flux, a temporary drop. However i would in the meantime work on adding some new fresh content, maybe get some more relative backlinks, vary a bit with your anchor text, if you will get lots at one time. But for now i would wait till the end of the week. Something is about to happen.
hi crazyhorse that was my impression too, but I already waited a week. In the meantime I'm working on my ranking in for instance Yahoo. Any advice? And I submitted my sites to major English language search engines in Asian countries. There are 10 times more Indian people than Americans. And I created hundreds of meaningful backlinks. Only if I really got a penalty in Google in that SE that won't work. But the happening made me study statistics again. Google still is dominant, but their marketshare dropped significantly.
You seem to be on the first page of yahoo for your term -paradigm shift definition-. I have always thought that as soon you rank well for your terms/keywords on Google , you will on all the other SE's as well.
