My website is ranking differently in firefox (#30) vs Chrome (#18).

I am not logged in to Google in either browser.

    Whats the deal there?

Search when you have a tab/window in incognito/private mode.

Ranking is always the same, with any browser.
Use some cookies cleaner and registry cleaner before you do your searches.
And log of from you gmail account when you do your search.
Do no use firefox/chrome addons that can get in the way, like site blockers, spam blockers and etc, they can hide some sites from you based on their settings.
And in Firefox settings there is a setting that can remember history preferances and etc. Disable that. Cause with that enabled Firefox will learn what sites you visit often and show that sites first when you do a search.
Instal some sort of internet security, cause if ur browser or computer was infected with warms, there are warms that do exactly this, showing bad and false search reports based on someone oportunity to win because of this.

I always have a browser that I use ONLY for this purpose. to do ranking searches. and use other browser to do my usual surfing on the net. This way I dont get false reports.
    Hope this helps

Delete all history and you will see same results. Please note that all browsers show same result always and you may see different results just because of cookies.

Hi logging off is not good enough any more. Do a search for "turn off personalized search" and look at the Google result for your answer.
