Does anyone know what makes a certain product rank higher in the product search results?

I had base running for a while with a feed and was getting good quality traffic from it. But I deleted all my info and started fresh with a new google account. (I had too many accounts, gmails, etc.. Needed to get everything into one account).. but im not ranking nearly as high with my new feed and account..

Ive been searching for answers, but this seems to be the most unknown question..

    Thanks

that's weird... So you think you don't rank well because of you new account? Even though you submit the same datafeed? Make sure to submit as much information as possible in the datafeed, even though the information might not seem important to you, I think google rank higher products that have simply more information.

    That is a good question.

I think title tag is the main thing, so put keywords in your title.

Hire keyword density in title tag, but not 100%

If you take an older account on Google Base and try to submit the same feed with a newer account, the older account will always out perform the newer account.

    Why?

Google takes into account the age of the lister in it's weighting algoritm. An older lister is considered to be more trustworthy than a newer lister so with all things equal Google will list the older lister above the newer lister
