Trying to figure out what is wrong with my SEO tactics here... When I run a search for my keywords, I end up on the end of page 2 or beginning of 3. On pages 1 & 2, there are 2-3 pages that link to my page. EzineArticles I've written, bookmarks I've submitted, that kind of stuff. I've checked keyword densities and they are similar for my page and the #1 result or any of the pages linking to me. Just keep building links? I've already got a higher PR on the URL than anyone ranking ahead of me. Pretty confused here. Let me know if you've seen this and how you managed to get around it
PR has no effect on your SERPs. Even Matt Cutts said that himself. SERPs are based on thousands of other variables, so you just need to keep trying to get valuble links to build up your website.
I disagree. Backlinks have impact on SERP. Backlinks have impact on PR. So PR has indirect impact on SERP.
ya keep building links, try to get more authority and you should overtake other sites which are linking back to you easily.
Maybe because these pages/sites are older than yours and have more authority than yours. Give it some time, keep working and I believe you would able to outrank them as you already have links from these pages.
