Ranking #1 in MSN but no ranking in Google or Yahoo

Hi, I have a new site, it's only 1 month old, this new site is ranking #1 in MSN (wikipedia is the #2) in USA results (i'm not sure about UK or Australia)

The keywords are rather competitive, 5million+ in google and 13million+ in msn

As a detail, I bought an old domain:
NS History: 3 changes on 3 unique name servers over 6 years.

I haven't do almost anything, just some optimization with titles, some sumissions to some directories and some dofollow-blogs posting.

The questions are, why do I rank #1 in MSN and of course? and why i don't rank in Google or Yahoo (i checked the first 1000 positions)???

PM me if you want to know the domain.

I hope you do understand that MSN Yahoo and Google do have different algorithms. And it is impossible to be sucessful in all search engines.

Since all search engines have different ranking algorithm, ranking on one doesn't mean you would rank on others for sure. Although it has been seen that if you rank high on Google you are sure to rank on MSN and Yahoo! but not the other way round.

Google does take time in ranking new websites except a new website gets highly popular and people start linking to it from their posts. thats when it can rank high.

Sometimes your site ranks well in other se's beacuse they are using different algorithm. But more webmasters says that it's a crap and does not rank their site well.

Sure i understand that different search engines have different algorithm, my point is more about the huge difference, if my site doesn't rank in Google and ranks around #100 in MSN i will find it normal, but #1 in MSN to nothing in Google, i find it at least curious.

I just didn't expect to rank high until a couple of months (always having in mind Google), so it was outside my expectations to rank 1st in MSN within 1 month, even my aim is Google

I checked UK MSN and AU MSN and the position is #24 and #13, Google and Yahoo nothing within the firsts 1000 positions

MSN is much easier to get rankings for, all you normally need is a good domain name, a bit of on the page optimisation and a few backlinks. Google and Yahoo seem to have much higher standards. From my own experience I've found that having a high ranking MSN site normally means that I don't get anywhere with the others, especially Google.
