I looked up hoard in the dictionary. It means to amass or gather (amongst other things). There was no numerical value for it. So in this case hoards of people have been employed to make websites from other peoples copywrited content. And it seems from the posts in this thead that it has been going on for at least 4 years.

In fact, you could say that hoards of people have been making hoards of websites with hoards of other peoples content

 

I have employed people to make websites. That's how I make my living.

If there is a slow day I might tell someone to make a website about this or that and we will find a use for it later.

I guess in your book that makes me wrong.

It is against some law to ever have a guy build a website that is not for a customer.

Maybe I should just have them sit around and watch tv until another customer calls.

If you read back through the thread you will find that I did not have hords of people stealing copywrited content.

I had one guy, that we were trying to teach how to use Dreamweaver, copy content that is online and free to use on sites.

The arthur information was on the page but the links did not work.

That was not the plan, it was a mistake.

But I will continue to run my business in the way I see fit and the idle time that people have that work for me will be used as I see fit.

I guess you guys are perfect and have never made a mistake.

ok went out for a run to get my aggression out and while showering after I finally put 2 and 2 together.


I did post at WPW about some serious spam issues I was researching for an article in the pet care industry..actually a very well researched and written piece if I do say so myself...but I always let the readers decide that and as a # 3 author I would say I am doing okay.

Anyway a group of people at WPW jumped me there and I wasn't sure what was up and got drug down and mired in this group of what now appears to be a gaggle of wonen who spam the net with 2,000 websites and 20 employees

Oh, I'll support people like Janeth against silly little dickheads like you every time, Clint. You see, unlike you, people like Janeth don't go around trying to stir up trouble, they don't go around around posting garbage such as 'Google puts all new sites in the Supplemental index', and 'Google sends out a quality control spider', etc. Unlike you, people like Janeth help other people in forums rather than try to harm them.

There are a few people like you though. I suggest you join Minstrel's forum - you'll find some like-minded trolls and nasty people there. Come to think of it, this is a good place for the likes of you as well. You'll be happy here.

On the other hand, if you have even a tiny bit of common sense, you're best bet is to accept the fact that you did it all wrong at WPW, and learn to live with it. You can't win anything. You can get a few supporters here and in the bog easily enough, because of other people's history (not because of you), and if you are happy with cold comfort I'm sure you'll be happy here and in the bog - and apt place for you

You weren't researching anything for an article. You posted to ask people what you should do about the scam. Writing an article was one of the 4 options that you listed. You weren't writing anything at the time.

If you are going to lie about something, first make sure that the evidence has disappeared.
