    Hi everyone

After meeting a group of individuals on another forum whom are less than up front about things... I decided to see what was what.

The first company I have started to look at is a company named ranked1.net and here is what I found

    Site: - Ranked1.net

Her site ranked1.net is hosted on geeksonsteroids.com also owned by janeth

Janet also known as janeth at several forums..she owns the design firm http://www.janethd.co.uk http://www.ranked1.net and http://www.geeks-webhosting.com/ according to her profile at webproworld
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As I read over this site it occurred to me that I had read alot of what was on the pages before somewhere else though.

I ran through each of the links from the home page and going accross the horizontal navigation bar

    Here is what I found:

    Yahoo link

    http://www.ranked1.net/yahoo-No1.php

    Found on goarticle.com

http://topwebhostingproviders.net : We rated the Top 10 Web Hosting Companies Online. Visit us today.</strong>

Ranked1.net removed author link not nice...but gets worse

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    AltaVista

    http://www.ranked1.net/Altavista-search.php

Taken word from word from here

    http://www.altavista.com/about/

Taking the search engines content does not seem to smart

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Google

    Comntent taken from

    http://www.articlecity.com/articles/...cle_3503.shtml

    Authors link removed....nasty people ranked1.net

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Msn Web Search

    http://www.ranked1.net/MSN-Search.php

    Content taken from

    http://www.answers.com/topic/msn-search

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Authors link removed....dirty cheap shot

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    AllTheweb

    http://www.ranked1.net/AlltheWeb.php

    Found here

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AlltheWeb

I am sure they wrote this on the wiki.....if they knew it existed would amaze me

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Teoma

    http://www.ranked1.net/Teoma.php

Found on the search engines website itself

    http://sp.teoma.com/docs/teoma/about...authority.html

Another search engine .....are they vapid???

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I really do not have the time to run through the ledt side links but I did do the one at the bottom labeled

The Importance Of Relevant Website Content

    http://www.ranked1.net/The-Importanc...te-Content.php

Found here almost word for word an article written by Matt a copywriter who owns
    http://www.webwisewords.com/

    http://searchwarp.com/swa29901.htm

I would fathom a guess there are other pages on the ledt that had the content taken from somewhere else and while I suppose it would be more interesting if the whole site were unoriginal contwent the point is this is not an SEO firm I would want my competition to use.

Perhaps it is time to call for regulation and licensing in the search marketing industry after all we are not much unlike lawyers andthey are degreed and licensed before being allowed to practice in the USA

Other countries I cannot speak for however I imagine in some remote mountain villages or dry desert land even deep forest towns...people can also label themselves a Lawyer as well as an SEO

I have taken screen shots as well.

    Peace

You might want to contact goarticles.com, or the article directory where these articles originated or contact the orignal authors. If they want to take action, they can.

Other than that, there isnt much you can do.

I'm sure it happens much more than it is caught. Copyscape.com is a good way to monitor content thiefs - but its time consuming to check it all the time.

My article was featured on their website about a week ago before I called and told them to fix the article or take it down. They promptly took it off of their site within a few hours of my email.

I might have also scared them since I called on the phone before emailing. They gave credit to my name, but took out my links. I said this violates the TOS of the article sites, so they followed my instructions and took the article off.

Just call them if your article is on there...

Actually nothing of mine is on there I just went to the hassle of exposing what is sure to be seen as a spammers attempt in manipulating search rankings..

I just write the facts as I see them and believe me this is just the tip of the iceberg on a group that needs exposing.

I was being nice it had nothing to be with being scared. Please give me a break.

Try not to lie so much.

You where shown for being an ass and got upset.

    The post is here http://www.webproworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=57530

Here is the same post http://www.webproworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=59860

Here is what I told you over there.
I have around 2,000 sites and 20 employees. I told them to use sites like http://www.goarticles.com/ to get some content for some of the sites.

It appears that they did not understand what they were suppose to do.

We will get it fixed asap.

The problem was not that we stole any content, it was that the arthur links where not working.

The credit was there but the links did not work. But if you take a look at the site you will see that I have replaced that text and we are working on the new text now.

If you were being nice, surely you would have left the authors name and links in place?
Please do not blame your staff

I can say that I use the same user name on all the forums I post on unlike Sem-Advance.

Seems he's the one trying to hide something.

    Rigjht here :)

Nothing to hide but to expose those who do wrong by others..

And it is rather unfortunate that you would blame this on your "employees" who are not here to defend themselves.

However in the work world you would also be responsible for your employees actions as your representative. Being as by your own admission this was several weeks ago it seems you have not installed measures to quality control your staff.

Spend less time in forums deceiving people and more time checking on the sites you own and are resposible for.

Ohhh and I have more to come janeth....

It is nice you have so many sites for me to play around with.

    Stay tuned .........

    Peace

Then you should be talking about yourself.

Please don't be stupid, what do you want me to do have all my employees post on here.

Ok please try and read the text. The content has only been on the site for about 1 week.

You worry about what you do and I will worry about what I do.

I post by Janeth every where I post. You must have 50 different user names that you use.

Please come on with it then

    I have more.

I could really care less about your name.

I guess he ran out of wind before he could post the more to come post.

Who I choose to link to is up to me. That site is not finished yet but when it is it will be a directory of all the web designers and SEO companies done by location.

I think it is going to be really nice. But I'm sure none of your sites will make it in there.

    Hi everyone I'm back...

Now janethj you should go crawl away remember you have 2,000 websites and I started this thread with one.

We went to two with the last spambomb piece of spam site you own..by your own admission.

    You also own geeksonsteroids.com
    and as such this subdomain

    http://colombia.geeksonsteroids.com/

Which I then ran the home page of the sub domain through copyscape and guess what one of your empoyees took content from yet another site and pasted it on one of your sites..

Or let me guess reference.com knows about this???

    http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/Colombia

Okay now janet you run and try and change the content while I hit send in the other window to reference.com your website infor from arin. whois and the screen shots of the content on your site

ready set ....sent ... you go run hurry change it we have a few 1000 mote to go........

    janeth

None of my sites will be included in your link spam farm??

    OHHHHH NOOOOOOOOoooooo

Boooooooo Whhiooooo Im going to cry

    Tears of joy....

Thank you its good to know you wont stoop so low as to try and link spam me......however at the rate you need to change pages you wont be pasting links anytime soon...

Hey everyone post this we can do it live it janet wants

Not going to do it but while your having fun with this can you check www.janethd.com for me.

That would be a site we are working with right now.

the other site you pointed to I have never even looked at and I doubt there is very much going on with that one.

    But please do www.janethd.com
