Hi guys, I have ranked some keywords but not getting leads from those keywords. I did check monthly search volume of those keywords and IMO those keywords are very good for converting but no luck yet. What do you think, what did I do wrong?
It is very hard to say anything without being familiar with your website and keywords. It might be that you did not take exact match keywords with your services or business. For example: If your website is selling car insurance but you picked "Insurance" keyword for website promotion. In such case, you will not get target audience and it affect conversion ratio. Another reason may be related with website design, url accessibility mean website is not looking good, not assurance about security, no physical address on site, high cost, etc.
Hi Kristina, we are on money making and SEO industry and we have ranked very specific targeted keywords. Not sure about our website design structure. It's not ugly that's for sure. It's simple and we don't use physical address on our site but we have a form on our "Contact Us" page. That's the issue I guess for not converting?
How much traffic are you actually getting from the rankings? If it's something small then don't expect conversions right away.
Analyze your page, maybe there are some areas you need to improve more, or changes needed to be done. Is your "call to action" enough to entice your audience? How they will benefit on your products/services or anything they can get upon converting on your page?
Yes, it is very difficult to suggest solution without knowing what your website is and what your keywords are. Firstly you have to know what your audience are looking for, in order to grab good audience to your site, you have to offer them good information and products they are looking for.
You have to create a proper and attractive landing page. Make your visitors by offering them some coupon code discounts, or make them to engage to your services by providing some benefits. If you are selling your products then are they cheap than your competitors? Is their quality better than others? Is your website user friendly and has a good looking design? Is your product pictures easily visible(High quality)? These are some factors that make your website do well.
Since when a good looking website sells? You can create a stunning website and yet not getting a single lead... yet you can create a 5 pages html based website and getting hundreds of sales, as for exemple, most products on clickbank ends up with a crap landing page and a website not even worth $100 but they sell. What is your bounce rate? Also one thing I know, the first 150 words are the most important, if they are catchy, then visitors will go further, else, they will leave.
IMO, a good looking site somehow contribute to the site's conversion rate for it enhance the UI and UX. But the site's conversion rate basically depends (again IMO) on the quality of the site's content/copy and CTA's. Try to have a look at your site and make your unbiased evaluation and judgment, for sure you'll find something that you can improve and achieve better results.
It's not really about luck. If you really rank well ... people will only come to your site. That doesn't mean that they will buy cause they don't get the site, don't like the color, they were looking for something you don't have. So: you should also look on your site to see that it's intuitive. Also: rank well for other words
Content is important factor and your should try to update your website content interest... Other things keep your site easy accessible and simple contact us with unique design.... so clients can reach to you quickly...
Its like 200 unique visitors from Google in a month. It's small traffic but we are expecting at least 1-2 conversions in a month but unfortunately we are not getting any!
Do something to rank your site and articles. Create backlink wisely. Then, you will get traffic and leads. Make sure, you have good copy-writer too.
Does your site rank for keywords that get traffic volume? You might want to install google analytics and check if there is an issue with your site/user experience, etc..
Alexa Ranking isnt anything, It will not help seo at all. We did an experiment with white hat and black hat in the last 2 years to see if it meant anything for seo and it doesn't. What people do is increase Alexa to sell crap sites to unsuspecting people. Not a good idea.
as far as keywords, Google adwords is sometimes off by a lot. Get your main keyword type it into google and then look at all of the suggestions at bottom of page and on software whatever you are using then go to google trends and counter balance them. Google makes investors happy it is a bad idea for keyword targeting. Your keyword might not have traffic half of the year and only have traffic couple months out of the year. Or traffic is non-buy keywords or simply your site is not good enough to convert. Have 10 people online look at your site and vote then you will know for sure. I have yet to see one software give fully accurate traffic you must always double check manually.
You can check keywords trends. might be keywords trends has changed. and choose some good keywords which relevant to your business and products. Need to work some more keywords suggestion.
I have no idea what your website and structure looks like and it is hard to help without more information about your site. Therefore, What I would do is offer some kind of an incentive(something valuable and free) to signup to a customer list on your website to capture some of that traffic and later communicate with your web visitors in your niche thru email to see what they need help with and what they would like to know about your niche. Here is a tip: Create GREAT, GREAT value with your visitors and you will be rewarded.
