I have a site that has been between number 1 and 2 on Bing for over 4 months for keyword phrase "speed shop" and have not moved since September. The question I have is, does anybody think that Bing is going to catch on? I ask this because for that phrase on Google, I can't rank in the top 10 though I do receive substantial traffic from Google for other keywords. I am still trying to figure out Bing's way of indexing as well, not complaining, just saying.
My guess is that it is not Bing's strategy to exactly match Google's algorithm. By being different they can hope to attract sites that don't get as much love on Google, and by being different they can hope to create a sub-niche for Bing optimization within SEO.
That's good either way. I'd see how you can work that into your google traffic via keyword finder. Just from 1 year of monitoring my site. I've noticed Yahoo/Bing tend to be a little faster at putting an article up, but doesn't always mean traffic. Google takes just maybe 1-2 weeks longer, but the traffic is 10x that of Yahoo or Bing.
