Ranked as #1 for my Search Term... Good?

#1: you are No1 for "the university kid"
#2: overture gives 117 searches for "kid university"

"the university kid" is not equivalent to "kid university". I don't see any search at all for "the university kid" (unless your own?) and you don't rank for "kid university" so it is not relevant. On the other side, 117 searches is a very low volume so if you are in it for traffic that should not be the term to target.

So, what is the blog about anyway? There is no instant powerful message ("unique selling proposition" for marketers) upon landing on your site.

If it doesn't bring traffic, then ranking for that term, at the end of the day, doesn't really help you in any way.

Make Money Online will obviously be a harder keyword to rank for. You do not have that keyword in your domain name, your site is new, and not too many links with that anchor point to your site.

 

Traffic from SEs has doubled (well, it was only a 12 people increase but you start small, heh )
